Here are some tips for choosing the right vehicle no matter what kind of vacation you are going on.
Destination Matters
The first consideration is going to be where you will be going. Your destination is critical.
Wherever your destination, it is going to have some challenges that are unique to it. This will influence the type of transportation that will be best.
For example, if you’re headed out to one of those European cities where it seems as if you’re always bouncing into someone because it’s so busy and roads are narrow, having a car that is compact and small may be your best choice to get around. It will be easier to navigate those narrow streets and any type of parking spaces you might find.
On the other hand, if you’re going to be outbacking in Australia or going on rugged terrain in the United States you are going to need a very sturdy SUV so you can off-road in comfort or you may need a camper.
Budget and Affordability
The next thing you’re going to have to consider is how deep your pockets go. You may not be able to afford something that first catches your eye if you’re not able to put down the cash for it.
Be realistic about what you can afford, this is the best way to narrow down your choices and select something within your price range that is right for you. The rental and the purchasing cost should be at the top of your mind when you are thinking about renting a car but you also need to think about the fuel efficiency of the vehicle.
