Radford Racing School’s “A Day at the Drags with Alex Taylor” Set for Saturday, October 26, 2024

CHANDLER, Ariz. (March 21, 2024) – Radford Racing School, the world’s premier driving and racing school, and celebrity drag racer Alex Taylor, today announced an exclusive one-day-only celebrity course on October 26, 2024, at Firebird Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona.

With the support of the celebrated automotive lifestyle influence and co-host of MotorTrend’s Hot Rod Garage, “A Day at the Drags with Alex Taylor” will not only give students a look at Drag Racing from the view of Alex Taylor, but will also give them driving techniques and exercises that will help them to become a safer and better driver on the drag strip and in their every day driving.

“Drag racing fans will have the rare chance to learn from our professional instructors and celebrity racer Alex Taylor at Wildhorse Pass this October,” said Chuck Sundstrom, General Manager at Radford Racing School. “Alex is a talented drag racer who captured the hearts of racing enthusiasts worldwide with her talent for building and working on cars. This special course was created to give our students the chance to improve their driving and competition skills while also sharing some time with one of the most talented drag racers in the business.”

Born and raised in Booneville, Arkansas, Alex Taylor has been a performance enthusiast since she was first introduced to drag racing. In 2013, she competed in Drag Week as the youngest participant. The newly turned 16-year-old ended turned a 12.0936-second average in the Daily Driver category. Today she remains competitive in the drag racing circuit and has become an internet sensation among enthusiasts. In 2022, the racer, builder and mechanic expanded her resume to become the co-host of Hot Rod Garage with Lucky Costa.

“I’m so excited to join the Radford Racing School team and all of our guests for an adrenaline filled day at Wildhorse Pass,” said Taylor. “Drag racing has been my passion and I’ve been fortunate to make it a part of my career over the last few years. Radford Racing School is one of the only places in the country with a dedicated drag racing program and access to NHRA-sanctioned facility. I’m excited to help keep interest in drag racing so strong. I look forward to meeting fellow enthusiasts and share some tips that has kept me competitive over the years.”

“A Day at the Drags with Alex Taylor” will be offered on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Students can choose from a four-hour morning or afternoon session. Alex Taylor will join professional drag racing instructor and Radford Racing School general manager, Chuck Sundstrom, to learn drag racing fundamentals behind the wheel of an 840 horsepower Dodge Challenger Demon.
