TIMMONS WINS SMAC 50, OUTLAWS TO SCOTT SATURDAY AT CLAREMONT

CLAREMONT, NH – Windham, Maine open-wheel star Bobby Timmons III was the big winner Saturday at Claremont Motorsports Park, winning the SMAC Supermodified Energized by USNE 50-lap main event and, with the victory, surging to his first career championship in the fast Supermodified series.

With well over 100 racing teams packing the pits for the first day of the Thrasher Road speedplant’s annual Fall Challenge event, Timmons was one of eleven different drivers earning feature wins at the 79-year-oval’s annual autumn classic.

Owen Grennan of Glen Cove picked the right time of the season to start a win streak at Riverhead Raceway when he won his second straight Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified event in the annual Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 Saturday. With the victory Owen Grennan sewed up the 2026 Riverhead Raceway NASCAR Modified track championship one week after clinching the New York State championship of the NASCAR Local Racing Series powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts.

The ARCA Menards Series returns to one of the most historic venues in stock car racing on Saturday, September 12, as Salem Speedway hosts the Spruce 212. The event will mark the 112th ARCA Menards Series race at Salem Speedway since 1955, more than any other track in series history. To commemorate the milestone, the traditional race distance has been extended by 12 laps to 212 laps and 117.66 miles around the high-banked 0.555-mile asphalt oval. The event will also make television history as the first ARCA Menards Series short-track race televised live on over-the-air network television, with FOX carrying the race live beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Musco Lighting has enhanced Salem’s lighting system for the national television debut, including the addition of two LED light towers to better illuminate the speedway’s demanding 35-degree corners.

Second generation TK Figure Eight talent Will “The Thrill” Farrell of Mastic led the list of NASCAR Local Racing Series powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts winners after he scored his first career feature event win in a 15-lap contest.

Corkscrew Hillclimb Provides Thrilling Reverse Course Challenges Fifth Annual Hillclimb Attracts International Entries for Saturday, August 8

MONTEREY, Calif., July 30, 2026 — Christine Sloss returns to defend her Corkscrew Hillclimb title as a field of challengers looks to best her winning time of 29.535 seconds. The Carmel resident was a fan favorite and was loudly cheered as she raced uphill in her bright yellow 2025 Ferrari SF90 XX Spider.

With just one week to go until the Corkscrew Hillclimb, participants as far away as Melbourne, Australia, and Dartford, England are among the Monterey Pre-Reunion drivers gearing up to challenge the iconic series of turns by racing in the opposite direction.
