(Vallée-Jonction, QC), May 27, 2025 – The 2025 NASCAR Canada Series continues its momentum with the second race of the season this Saturday, May 31, at Autodrome Chaudière. Known for its steep banking and tight quarter-mile layout, the track consistently delivers fast-paced, door-to-door action that keeps fans on the edge of their seats.
Fresh off a victory at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, defending champion Marc-Antoine Camirand, behind the wheel of the No. 96 GM Paillé / Chevrolet Canada Chevrolet, returns to Chaudière with high expectations as he claimed pole position here last year.
Joining him on the grid will be the winner of the 2024 Bud Light 300, Andrew Ranger piloting the No. 27 GM Paillé Chevrolet. Kevin Lacroix, in the No. 74 Adaptive One Calipers / NAPA Racing Chevrolet, enters the weekend as a strong contender. He will be joined by rookie William Larue, who challenged Lacroix in a tense on-track battle last season at Montmagny.
Donald Theetge takes over the No. 80 St-Hubert / UPS Store / Bet GRW Chevrolet for this round, returning to the track where he earned the Fastest Lap Award in 2024. A seasoned driver in the series, DJ Kennington will once again bring his experience driving the No. 17 Castrol Edge / Brimstone Games / CIM Metals Dodge.
One to watch is Alex Guenette in the No. 39 GL Électricité-Automatisations / Bet GRW Chevrolet. Guenette delivered a solid performance at CTMP, finishing just one spot short of the podium. Also set to compete are Mathieu Kingsbury in his No. 9 Duroking / BFL Canada Chevrolet, local driver Maxime Gauvreau, who returns to his home track and seasoned veteran Jason Hathaway in the No. 3 Leland / Sangsin Brakes / Fast Eddie / HGC Chevrolet, who finished in the top 10 in the season opener at CTMP. They’ll be joined by a full field of talented drivers ready to leave their mark.
“Autodrome Chaudière is one of the most intense tracks on the calendar,” said Alan Labrosse, General Manager of NASCAR Canada. “Its tight layout and steep banking demand total focus and precision. It’s where talent, experience and strategy all collide. Fans are in for a great day of racing.”
On-track activities will kick off Saturday with Practice at 12:00 PM, followed by Qualifying at 4:00 PM. The Bud Light 250 is scheduled to go green at 5:30 PM. Fans can catch the action live on REV TV and TVA Sports, with tape-delayed coverage available on TSN.
