Queen led 72 of the race’s 105 laps and held off runner-up William Sawalich (No. 18 Starkey Toyota) on a trio of late-race restarts, including one on the final lap to win. Queen also won the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

MONTEREY, California – Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing team Winward Racing – the reigning IMSA GT Daytona (GTD) class champions – turned in a “perfect” performance for a “repeat-repeat” GTD class race win Sunday in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca (WRLS). The win from fourth on the grid was a GTD class-leading second victory of the season for the Winward No. 57 drivers and second consecutive at WRLS after winning on the 3.238-mile road course for the first time last year.
