Stewart Friesen Still Relishes First Outlaw Win at Ohsweken Speedway, Eager for Another

OHSWEKEN, ON (May 12, 2025) – If you traded slide jobs with Donny Schatz and Logan Schuchart to earn your first World of Outlaws win, you’d probably never forget it. Stewart Friesen hasn’t, and he’s ready to do it again.

Ten years after scoring his first World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series win at Ohsweken Speedway, Friesen, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver and Big Block Modified star from Niagara-on-the-lake, ON, will be back in a Sprint Car for the Series’ return to Ohsweken, Wednesday-Thursday, May 14-15.

Round three of the 2025 season might mark the W2RC’s first visit to South Africa but it’s a return to the continent of Africa where The Dacia Sandriders celebrated a debut victory on the 2024 season-deciding Rallye du Maroc last October.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 9, 2025) – NASCAR and JDV Productions today announced the Cheshire County Clash NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Monadnock Speedway has been rescheduled for the afternoon of Sunday, July 20.

The race was originally scheduled for May 3, but was postponed due to inclement weather.

Rick Ware Racing (RWR), which has competed in the NASCAR Cup Series since 2012, will be a part of the annual NASCAR Cup Series exhibition race for the first time. That is because Harrison Burton, who has a guaranteed starting spot in the All-Star Race via his Coke Zero Sugar 400 victory last August at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, will drive the No. 51 Morton Buildings Ford Mustang Dark Horse for RWR.

Brenden “Butterbean” Queen (No. 28 BestRepair.net Chevrolet) scored his second career ARCA Menards Series win and his second of 2025 with a dominant victory in Friday’s Tide 150 at Kansas Speedway. Queen led 72 of the race’s 105 laps and held off runner-up William Sawalich (No. 18 Starkey Toyota) on a trio of late-race restarts, including one on the final lap to win. Queen also won the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

“Repeat-Repeat” Race Win for Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing Team Winward Racing at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

MONTEREY, California – Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing team Winward Racing – the reigning IMSA GT Daytona (GTD) class champions – turned in a “perfect” performance for a “repeat-repeat” GTD class race win Sunday in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca (WRLS). The win from fourth on the grid was a GTD class-leading second victory of the season for the Winward No. 57 drivers and second consecutive at WRLS after winning on the 3.238-mile road course for the first time last year. Winward’s first 2025 victory in the 12 Hours of Sebring in March was also a repeat performance after winning the classic endurance at Sebring International Raceway for the second-straight time in March.
