Rain Pushes Back Northeast Classic By One Day, Now Saturday & Sunday Show At New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Barre, VT & Naples, ME — After watching the forecast, American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials have pushed the Northeast Classic back by one day this coming weekend. Instead of the originally scheduled Friday Practice and Saturday Race dates originally scheduled, the Northeast Classic will now begin with Practice Day on Saturday, April 13 and the 4th annual Northeast Classic will now be contested on Sunday, April 14. As such, camping will also be pushed back one day and campers can start parking on Friday, April 12 from 4:00pm to 7:30pm. (more…)

Thompson, CT — A much nicer day awaited fans on day two of the 50th Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway. Six star-studded features took to the 0.625-mile oval on Sunday, as did the peaks of sunshine to greet the fans in the stands. While the Street Stocks were able to start their 2024 track championship season on Saturday, the rest of the track championship line-up got their year started with plenty of action on Sunday along with the roar of the mighty NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour with their return to Icebreaker weekend. Thompson, CT — A partly cloudy day was had at Thompson Speedway’s Saturday opener to the 50th Icebreaker weekend with plenty of rain to darken the spirits on an exciting opening day schedule of events. The crew at Thompson Speedway kept the track dry enough to get in full feature events for both the Thompson Street Stocks and the PASS Super Late Models but the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series was a casualty to the rain and will be postponed to the Friday of World Series weekend on October 11. OSBORN, Mo. — A little luck never hurts, especially in Sprint Car Racing.

Sheldon Haudenschild appeared poised for a third straight US 36 Raceway victory on Friday night. He’d taken the lead early and sliced through plenty of traffic as he led the opening 20 circuits. But an incident with a lapped car left him spun between Turns 1 and 2 and ended his hopes of a three-peat at the 3/8-mile. (more…)
