Following a three-peat of mechanical woes and devastating wrecks, Blainville Quebec’s Jonathan Bouvrette battled hard with defending Autodrome Chaudiere and Quebec NASCAR Champion Dany Trepanier to take the Claude Leclerc 150 presented by Larue win and the $5,000 payday. Donahue and Bouchard Dominate Double Late Model Features At Thunder Road
The fireworks started off early with the rain-postponed Casella Waste Management 50-lapper for the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models. From the pole position hard-luck driver Scott Coburn led the early war but was overtaken by Memorial Day Classic winner Stephen Donahue on lap 15. Donahue continued to dominate through a lap-22 scramble in turn four between the 94VT of Brendan Moodie and the 0VT of Scott Dragon that took out contenders Brooks Clark and Bobby Therrien. (more…)

72nd Year Celebration To Feature Fireworks & Demolition Derby Saturday July 2nd At Riverhead Raceway
Saturday July 2nd will be a time to celebrate at Riverhead Raceway as the track marks it’s 72nd anniversary with a full blown celebration is planned by track owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz. A spectacular Fireworks show will be presented and the night will conclude with a bone jarring Demolition Derby. Justin Bonsignore Grabs Second Place Finish at Riverhead Raceway
RIVERHEAD, N.Y. – Justin Bonsignore captured a second-place finish in the Buzz Chew 200 at Riverhead Raceway on Saturday night. The three-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion was out front of the seventh race of the season in the final stages, but Riverhead weekly regular Kyle Soper found his way around, capturing his first Whelen Modified Tour win.
