The revival of North Wilkesboro Speedway moved one step closer on Thursday night as Speedway Motorsports revealed its initial plans for the historic North Carolina short track.

Hudson, NH’s Derek Griffith’s top-notch 2021 racing season ended with the start of a new opportunity which will run throughout 2022, running in top Pro Late Model events through the Southeast for sponsor turned car owner Tyler Porter. While their first outing in the Snowflake 100 at 5 Flags Speedway did not generate storylines, it provided Griffith, Porter, and the Louie Mechalides(Lowell, MA)-led crew a springboard for the new year.
Barre, VT — The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) has added a 13th event to the 31st Season of ACT Late Model Championship Stock Car Racing. For the first time in over two decades, the ACT Late Model Tour will contest a points-counting event at Autodrome Montmagny, nearly 40 miles Northeast of Quebec City, Canada.
The purpose-built asphalt track inside Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is unlike any other track NASCAR Cup cars will race on.
A quarter-mile in length and relatively flat, it’s very narrow with an “infield” that’s barely there.
The late Mike Stefanik from Exeter, RI will receive the call to the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Friday night, an honor that recognizes his racing accomplishments as a nine-time champion at the regional series level. (more…)
The top drivers across the NASCAR national series were in Charlotte on January 18-19 for NASCAR Production Days, but one took some time to hit the track. Joey Logano of Middletown, CT headed onto the Charlotte Roval and slid around the snow-covered track.
MILFORD, Conn. – Doug Coby Racing announced today the addition of champion crew chief John McKenna to the team for the 2022 season, while also announcing a seven-race Modified schedule. The team is tentatively set to run four NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events and three Open Modified races – filling out a schedule where the ultimate goal will be to capture the trophy. The team also announced the return of Mayhew Tools as the primary sponsor of the No. 10 Modified.
N. Woodstock, NH — White Mountain Motorsports Park officials are excited to announce that the New England Pro-4 Modifieds will make the trip up Route 3 to test their skills at New Hampshire’s Premier Short Track Facility.
The Daytona 500 will potentially have a new team attempting to qualify, according to a report from Adam Stern of the Sports Business Journal. Naples, ME – Lee USA Speedway and the NE Big-Block Super Modified Series (NEBSMS) have inked a deal to run the 22nd annual Ollie Silva Mid-Summer Classic Saturday August 6th, 2022. For the past 21 seasons ISMA has sanctioned the event. Reduced cost of the sanctioning body and huge faith in the new series prompted the switch. (more…)
