When defending Islip 300 race winner Ryan Preece of Berlin, Ct. walks through the gates of Riverhead Raceway Saturday November 13th to defend his 2020 race victory, a flood of emotions are bound to come over the popular driver. It will mark the first time that Ryan has strapped back into the Eddie & Connie Partridge owned Tour Type Modified since that fateful Friday night in Richmond, Virginia. Shortly after Preece’s win in the Virginia Is For Racing Lovers 150 WMT event, triumph turned to tragedy when car owner Eddie Partridge was stricken with a fatal heart attack after leaving the race track for the trip home. MILFORD, Conn. — It was all looking positive for Doug Coby until one corner changed it all on Saturday, October 23 at Seekonk Speedway. Boss of failed Boston IndyCar race pleads guilty to fraud, money laundering
The former CFO of the Boston Grand Prix organization which was trying to bring an IndyCar race to the city’s Seaport district, Casey was indicted in September 2020 for channeling funds for his own personal gain and laundering the proceeds of the scheme, which he failed to report as income. (more…)
Rowe Wins Race and ACT Championship on Final Lap at Seekonk
Seekonk, MA — Turner, ME’s Ben Rowe gave the 30th American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Model season one of the most dramatic finishes in series history by passing D.J. Shaw on the final lap to win the Haunted Hundred at Massachusetts’ Seekonk Speedway on Saturday, October 23. Rowe rode the outside rim on a green-white-championship finish to beat his rival by 0.043 seconds for the win and by five points for the championship. (more…)
