Eldora Speedway Hires Levi Jones as General Manager

ROSSBURG, Ohio (Sept. 5, 2024) – Eldora Speedway has hired championship-winning USAC driver and motorsports executive Levi Jones as general manager for the World’s Greatest Dirt Track.

The appointment serves as a homecoming for Jones, with the 42-year-old from Olney, Illinois, having raced for Eldora Speedway owner Tony Stewart in the United States Auto Club (USAC) from 2006 until the midpoint of 2013, winning six of his seven USAC championships with Tony Stewart Racing.

William Sawalich – No. 18 Starkey/SoundGear Toyota Camry Preview – Southern Illinois 100 at DuQuoin State Fairgrounds

SAWALICH ON DIRT: William Sawalich claimed his first victory on dirt two weeks ago at Springfield. Last year, the 17-year-old earned the pole for the race at DuQuoin and finished fifth after suffering damage during the race.

LAST TIME OUT: Sawalich claimed his second-consecutive victory at the Milwaukee Mile last weekend. Sawalich won the pole and led all but two laps on his way to the win. The 17-year-old has won his last four starts across ARCA Menards Series (AMS) – Salem Speedway, Elko Speedway, Springfield Mile, and the Milwaukee Mile. His strong day at Milwaukee helped him gain six points in the ARCA Menards Series East (AMSE) driver standings. He now sits 16 points behind the leader headed into the AMSE season finale at Bristol Motor Speedway in September. (more…)

Chase Cabre, Dan Robinson Enter East Coast Dirt Nationals In Trenton, N.J.
Trenton, NJ – Dan Robinson and Chase Cabre will be making long trips to New Jersey to compete in the BELFOR Property Restoration-sponsored East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals on Friday and Saturday, February 24-25. The two accomplished drivers are not doing so to finish second, but they are also among a group of 90 who feel they to can win Saturday’s 50-lap A-Main inside the CURE Insurance Arena and take home the $5,000 first-place prize.
