NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Officials from Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and the ASA Southern Super Series have announced that Saturday’s North-South Super Late Model Challenge, featuring Super Late Models, has been canceled due to an unfavorable weather forecast calling for an approximately 80 percent chance of rain and the potential for strong thunderstorms throughout the day and into Saturday night. The Friday practice has also been scratched.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — One of the premier Super Late Model events of the summer comes to the historic Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway this Saturday, July 11, as the ASA Southern Super Series returns to Music City for the North-South Super Late Model Challenge 100. A talented field featuring championship contenders, nationally recognized veterans, rising stars, and hometown favorites will battle for 100 laps on one of America’s most historic short tracks.
Grandstands open and qualifying begins at 3:00 p.m., with feature racing set to start at 5:00 p.m. The North-South Super Late Model Challenge 100 headlines a full night of racing that also includes Street Stocks on the quarter-mile, along with Limited Late Models, Pure Stocks, Pro/Masters Legends, Semi-Pro/Young Lion Legends, Pest Doctor Front Runners, and CP Race Wear Bandoleros.

CORDELE, GA – For more than two decades, SpeedFest has stood as one of the most respected and anticipated events in pavement short track racing, earning its reputation as the unofficial start of the racing season for drivers and fans across the country.
First contested in 2005, SpeedFest was originally promoted by CRA founders R.J. Scott and Glenn Luckett and held at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Florida. The event quickly gained momentum, serving as an early proving ground for rising stars and established veterans alike. SpeedFest was held at USA International Speedway for four seasons before the facility was sold and permanently closed.
