Center Conway’s Gabe Brown Sweeps Wall’s Ford Platinum Series En-Route to Championship

N. Woodstock, NH — A picture perfect evening in North Woodstock, New Hampshire on Saturday night for the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series championship showdown. The evening started off with two Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Division feature events. Split with a larger car count entering the pit area on Saturday, feature one saw young Madison Potter hold onto the lead, even after a hair-raising restart following Colton Williams’ smash-up with the turn two wall.

Potter took down her first career Kid’s Division victory with an all-female podium featuring a hard-charging Chloe Doyle taking second and Makenzi Sicard coming home third. Feature two saw Connor Charbonneau pace the early going as Hayden Bushey and Colby Stygles powered their way to the front from their back-row starting spots. The battle came down to the final lap with Hayden Bushey claiming the win over Stygles and Charbonneau hanging on for third. (more…)

Round Two Of Sunoco Drive For The Cup Playoff Racing This Weekend At Seekonk Speedway

Just three weeks remain in the weekly racing season for 2024 at Seekonk Speedway. This Friday and Saturday night, the Sunoco Drive For The Cup playoffs continue with racing across nine different Seekonk divisions.

The battle is on to gain as many playoff points as possible in all divisions, as drivers continue to try and etch their name into the Final Four. It all begins on Friday night at 7 p.m. with five divisions of racing, followed by another four divisions of NASCAR Saturday racing at 6 p.m. On NASCAR Saturday, the East Coast Towing & Recovery Spectator Drags also will join the show for the final time during a weekly racing event this season. Woodstock, NH — White Mountain Motorsports Park is ready to crown its next series champion this Saturday night as the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series comes to a close in 100 laps of heart pounding action for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models! The September 14 program will also feature continued track championship action from the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis, Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars and the non-point Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Division!

The third and final round of the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series will settle the score in the popular Foley Oil & Propane Late Model program. Current American-Canadian Tour point leader Gabe Brown also leads the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series standings ahead of current King of the Mountain track championship point leader Tanner Woodard. Timmy Solomito Repeats In Riverhead Raceway Cecil Palm Tree 66 Wednesday
For the second consecutive season, the Cecil Palm Tree 160 was adversely affected by weather the original date forcing Riverhead Raceway management to reschedule the race run in honor of Eddie Partridge. The race was shifted to Wednesday night, the distance again modified to 66 laps, which was just fine with defending race winner Timmy Solomito of Islip who led all the way scoring his third win of 2024.
Solomito set the tone in qualifying laying down a lap of 11.750 with Mark Stewart and John Beatty Jr. clicking off identical laps of 11.815. It would be Stewart lining-up alongside Solomito as the field took the green from Partridge’s nephew Tom Gatz and daughter Alexis. Solomito, winner of the most recent event at Riverhead winning the Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 on August 17th broke right to the lead with Stewart right behind.

The annual Monster Truck Back to School program filled Riverhead Raceway Wednesday evening, during the program Joe Warren Jr. of Ridge was declared the 20-lap Mini Stock winner, while Brandon Hubbard scored his third Truck Enduro win of 2024. After seven action packed stock car events unfolded the KSR Monster Trucks took to the track and did not disappoint. Bad News Travels Fast got the fans on their feet when he slow-rolled his truck.

Late Pit Strategy Pays Off For John Beatty Jr With $9,455 Victory In Oval Speed Unlimited Bubba 150
As the laps clicked off Saturday in the 5th annual Oval Speed Unlimited 150 NASCAR Modified event at Riverhead Raceway, John Beatty wondered if he and his team’s strategy to pit late in the race would leave them the only car not to pit for a change tire. Those fears were quelled when a caution flag flew with 28-laps left allowing Beatty of Merrick to pit for his new right rear tire. That, with some well-placed late cautions put John Beatty in position to win his second race in three weeks at Riverhead Raceway, earning $9.455 including lap money.
