DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 1, 2026) – Due to continued inclement weather forecasted for the Oxford area through the weekend, NASCAR and Oxford Plains Speedway officials have postponed the All States Materials Group 150 to Saturday, June 6. An updated event schedule will be shared at a later date.
The first NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Oxford in nearly 35 years was originally scheduled for this Saturday, May 2, at 6:15 p.m. ET.
Thompson, CT — Yet another picture-perfect day greeted the fans at Thompson Speedway to finish off the 52nd Icebreaker with the help of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Single car, time-trial qualifying saw Mike Christopher Jr. leading much of the session before Matt Hirschman and Jon McKennedy both tied with a 19.125-second lap. Hirschman would lead the twenty-nine car field to green for the Icebreaker 150.

A minimum of 25 races are on the calendar for Teddy Hodgdon for the 2026 short-track Modified racing season.
Hodgdon plans to compete full-time on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour in search of the Rookie of the Year award in the familiar No. 55 entry, for all 16 events.
The 2026 Oxford Plains Speedway schedule is now official! DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 10, 2025) – NASCAR announced today that Gary Putnam has been named the new Series Director for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, becoming the fifth person to hold the position in the Tour’s storied history. Putnam succeeds Jimmy Wilson, who has overseen the series since 2013. Earlier this year, Wilson accepted the role of Sr. Technical Director of NASCAR Regional.
Putnam joins an esteemed line of Series Directors that includes Jerry Cook (1985–1992), Ed Cox (1993–2007), Chad Little (2008–2012), and Jimmy Wilson (2013–2025). His appointment marks a new chapter for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour as it enters its 41st season in 2026.
