Chris Meyer Has Eyes Set on Championship Run in Stafford’s Street Stocks

Chris Meyer came to Stafford Speedway last year with 10+ years of experience driving a Street Stock but the 2020 season was his first campaign at the Connecticut half-mile facility.  Meyer’s lack of Stafford experience never showed though as he finished second in his first start and went on to win 2 races and finished 2nd in the final points standings.  With a season’s worth of experience under his belt, Meyer and the #87 D & L Services team have a wave of confidence heading into the 2021 season. Sam Rameau Looks To Take Tri Track Title

SEEKONK, Mass. — Sitting behind the wheel, or behind the desk, Sammy Rameau seems to get the job done successfully. The 18-year-old, Westminster, Massachusetts, native is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology, with a double-minor in Environmental and Business Management. When he’s not at school, he competes at speeds over 100 mph in his Tour-Type Modified, a 600-horsepower, ground-pounding machine, racing inches apart from his competitors. (more…)

Doug Coby and Derek Griffith Have Lofty Goals at New Smyrna Speedway

Practice day at the World Series of Asphalt was a busy one with one of the largest entry lists the event has seen in several years.  It also saw breaking news from two short track racing titans in different disciplines.

Six-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Doug Coby is returning to the World Series for the first time since 2019 and his third trip overall.  During the day, he announced he will be competing the entire week – with Austin Pickens driving the No. 10 on Monday and Tuesday while Coby will jump into the machine the rest of the week.

NASCAR, ARCA and NBC Sports Announce 2021 Grassroots Racing Coverage

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 4, 2021– NASCAR, ARCA and NBC Sports announced today broadcast coverage for the 2021 slate of grassroots races across TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold and NBCSN, including events in the ARCA Menards Series East and West, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing.

All races from the ARCA Menards Series East and West, and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will air live on TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold. NBCSN will air tape-delayed coverage of every race from the three series –except those that are combined ARCA Menards Series events – for a total of 27 race broadcasts. (more…)
