Gary Rice Shop Equipment to Continue Boosting SK Modified and SK Light Drivers at Stafford Speedway(Stafford Springs, CT)—After joining the Stafford Speedway contingency program midway through the 2025 season, Gary Rice Shop Equipment will return for a full season in 2026.  Gary Rice Shop Equipment will provide first place bonuses to each SK Modified® and SK Light feature winner with SK Modified® winners taking home an extra $150 and SK Light drivers an extra $125.

These two bonuses means Gary Rice Shop Equipment will contribute a total of $6,150 to Stafford’s open wheel drivers during the 2026 season, with the SK Modified® division having a first place prize pool of $3,150 and the SK Light division having a pool of $3,000.

Maybury Material Handling Continues to Deliver Big Bonuses for Stafford SK Modified and SK Light Winners(Stafford Springs, CT) — For the 11th consecutive season, Maybury Material Handling of East Longmeadow, MA, will be a first-place contingency program partner at Stafford Motor Speedway. Maybury will present a weekly bonus of $150 to each SK Modified® winner and a $150 bonus to each SK Light feature winner during the 2026 season. This means Maybury will contribute a total of $6,750 during the 2026 season, with the SK Modified® having a first place prize pool of $3,150 with the SK Light division having a pool of $3,600. Thompson, CT — The rolling thunder of the New England Supermodified Series kicked off the stacked feature racing Saturday afternoon with Jon McKennedy quickly taking over the lead from Ryan Battle by lap three. Big brother Jeffrey Battle officially sewed up his championship hopes after taking the green flag and found himself in the top three by lap 15. Facing McKennedy’s near straightaway lead, Battle went on the hunt against PJ Stergios until the final five laps but McKennedy was in another zip code, taking the win as smoke began to spirt out of the tailpipe ahead of Jeffrey Battle and Anthony Nocella.

Stafford Speedway(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its final Friday night race program of the 2025 season with NAPA Auto Parts Championship Night on October 3.  Feature wins were notched by Michael Christopher, Jr. in the SK Modified® feature, Adam Gray in the Late Model feature, Nickolas Hovey in the SK Light feature, Travis Hydar in the Limited Late Model feature, and Jason Raymond in the Street Stock feature.  Track champions for the 2025 season are Jon Puleo in the SK Modified® division, Paul Varricchio, Jr. in the Late Model division, Meghan Fuller in the SK Light division, Travis Hydar in the Limited Late Model division, and Travis Downey in the Street Stock division.
