Wiscasset Speedway Sends off 2024 Race Season with Annual Fall Fury Event

After 6 months of racing excitement, Wiscasset Speedway bid adieu to their 2024 race season on Saturday with their annual Fall Fury event. This year’s program included the Wicked Good Vintage Racers, the Ladies Acceleration Tour and a 150-lap Enduro.

The racing action kicked off with a 25-lap feature for the WGVR Late Models. Addison Bowie was a dominant force until lap 20, where he came to a slow on the track, causing the field to check up. George Haskell took over on the restart and never looked back, picking up the feature victory while Bobby Symonds and Parker Long rounded out the podium.

But as drivers chase the last checkered flag of 2024 in the Bosowski Properties 125, two series regulars will be engaged in their own battle to become the GSPSS’ latest champion.

Pro Stock Final Four: Dylan Estrella, Bobby Pelland III, Vinnie Arrenegado, Mike Brightman

With 11 playoff points after the first two weeks, Dylan Estrella leads the Pro Stock Final Four. The Everett’s Auto Parts Racing driver of the No. 46 stormed to the front of the pack often throughout the season, visiting Victory Lane multiple times and always being a threat for the podium. Bobby Pelland III is another former Late Model champion looking to add a Pro Stock title to his resume. Pelland has multiple victories this season and always finds himself around the podium at the end of the night. After making the Final Four last year and coming up just short, Pelland looks to rebound and seal the deal this year. Vinnie Arrenegado is one driver who has put together a season filled with second-place finishes. To be exact, Arrenegado finished second SEVEN times. He will lock up the Rookie of the Year award in the Pro Stocks, but the former Late Model champion wants Pro Stock title gold.

And no one can count out Mike Brightman either. Another Final Four run for him will come down to the wire, with Brightman also looking to add to a previous Late Model Seekonk title. Brightman ended the regular season with his first victory of the season and seems ready to chase the crown. The Pro Stock championship event is 50 laps.

Seekonk Championship Final Four Fields To Be Set, Wall Of Fame Inductions Help Headline Racing Weekend

As Seekonk Speedway hits the final two weekends of the short-track racing season for Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday, September 20-21 will determine the Final Four who will compete for the title in each division. As the Sunoco Drive For The Cup revs up, after feature event racing on both nights, four drivers will have the right to contend for the title, while two in each division will go home hoping for another shot next year. Mike Hopkins Keeps Streak Alive At Speedway 95

HERMON, ME. – Since D.J. Shaw won the Granite State Pro Stock Series’ Maine debut in 2016, every race in the Pine Tree State had been won by a Mainer leading into Sunday afternoon’s showdown at Speedway 95.

And July winner Mike Hopkins kept that streak alive, picking up the win at his home track for a clean sweep of both visits to the Hermon, Maine, third-mile.

Round Two Of Sunoco Drive For The Cup Playoff Racing This Weekend At Seekonk Speedway

Just three weeks remain in the weekly racing season for 2024 at Seekonk Speedway. This Friday and Saturday night, the Sunoco Drive For The Cup playoffs continue with racing across nine different Seekonk divisions.

The battle is on to gain as many playoff points as possible in all divisions, as drivers continue to try and etch their name into the Final Four. It all begins on Friday night at 7 p.m. with five divisions of racing, followed by another four divisions of NASCAR Saturday racing at 6 p.m. On NASCAR Saturday, the East Coast Towing & Recovery Spectator Drags also will join the show for the final time during a weekly racing event this season. But before the season can draw to a close at Lee USA Speedway, one last road trip awaits the series faithful, a road trip that carries special meaning for each of the two championship challengers.

Speedway 95 in Hermon, Maine, welcomes the GSPSS for its second visit of the year, another event in a busy and high-profile month for racing in the Pine Tree State this Sunday, September 15. Sean Johnson Is Eighth Different Super Street Winner At Wiscasset

Wiscasset Speedway returned to action Saturday evening with a regular points program sponsored by Islebrook Village of Wiscasset for its Group 1 divisions and coming off the busy Labor Day weekend. Each weekly race show seems to reveal a theme of its own and Saturday was no exception. This show turned out to be a night redemption for some, and first-time victory lane appearances for others. Two different drivers rebounded from recent heartbreak to claim their first wins of the season. One young driver withstood a couple of late-race restarts to grab his first career win, and another driver continued to stack up wins in a dominant season. Mixed into this were several drivers turning in season-best performances and picking up their first hardware of the year.

Nick Hinkley Scores Pivotal Win at Wiscasset Speedway

The last weekend in August is widely known as the biggest race weekend of the summer in Maine. Even with the hustle and bustle going on at other local short tracks in the area, Wiscasset Speedway still drew in a hearty crowd for their Group 1 and Enduro program on Saturday.
