The Bass Pro Shops Night Race Saturday at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway will mark Noah Gragson’s second NASCAR Cup Series start on the concrete-clad, .533-mile oval. The 26-year-old racer from Las Vegas last competed on the track in March when he started 22nd and finished 34th in the Food City 500. Gragson did, however, race a Cup car at Bristol twice prior to his March visit, but it was when Bristol’s straightaways and high banks were covered in 23,000 cubic yards of red clay. In the Food City Dirt Race in 2022 and 2023, Gragson finished 27th and 33rd, respectively. (more…)
STATESVILLE, N.C.: The penultimate ARCA Menards Series short track race of the year at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway will feature a fiery new paint scheme with AM Racing and driver Christian Rose partnering with WVU Medicine Children’s for Thursday night’s Bush’s Bean 200.
Rose’s No. 32 Ford Mustang will feature a design submitted by three WVU Medicine Children’s patients who will also attend the 200-lap race on September 19. (more…)
Bristol Notes: Denny Hamlin is a four-time NASCAR Cup Series winner at Bristol Motor Speedway, including the past two trips to the World’s Fastest Half-Mile. Overall, Hamlin owns 11 top-five finishes, 18 top-10s, four pole awards, and 1,199 laps led at Bristol. He has earned four consecutive top-10 finishes at the track dating back to 2021. In the past two Bristol races, Hamlin has led a combined 305 of 1,000 laps.
Bristol Qualifying: Hamlin leads all active drivers with four pole awards at Bristol. He has started inside the top 10 in nine consecutive Bristol races going back to March 2019. Hamlin has qualified fourth or better in three races at Bristol with the Next Gen racecar.
STATESVILLE, N.C.: Officials from AM Racing confirmed today that Logan Bearden will drive the team’s No. 15 Ford Mustang in Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Food City 300 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway on September 20, 2024.
The final race of the regular NASCAR Xfinity Series season will be Bearden’s first driving for the Statesville, N.C.-based team, but his sixth Xfinity start of the season and first since Michigan International Speedway last month. (more…)
The NASCAR Truck Series is ready to take on the UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway, and the entry lists have been revealed.
For the UNOH 200, there will be 37 entries, which means two drivers will miss the show. Among the notable entries are William Sawalich (TRICON Garage) and Connor Zilisch (Spire Motorsports). Also, Conner Jones will drive the No. 66 truck for ThorSport Racing. Meanwhile, Connor Mosack returns to Niece Motorsports. Finally, Corey Day will make his NASCAR debut in the No. 81 truck for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. (more…)

For the Food City 300, there will be 39 entries, which means one driver will miss the show. Among the notable entries are Joe Graf Jr. and Ryan Truex for Joe Gibbs Racing. Also, Jeffrey Earnhardt will drive the No. 26 car for Sam Hunt Racing. Meanwhile, Carson Ware returns behind the wheel for his first start since 2021 with Joey Gase Motorsports. Chase Briscoe comes into the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway 11th among the 16 drivers in the NASCAR Playoffs. Only the top-12 drivers in points after Bristol advance to the next playoff round, and Briscoe sits just one spot above the playoff bubble with a six-point advantage over 13th-place Denny Hamlin. Briscoe can either maintain that advantage at the end of Saturday night’s 500 lapper around the .533-mile oval or punch his ticket to the Round of 12 with a victory. (more…)
