Mexico City – Trackhouse Racing announced today that Telcel-Infinitum will sponsor the No. 99 Chevrolet driven by Daniel Suárez in the inaugural June 15 NASCAR Cup Series race at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez road course in Mexico City.
The event marks the first points-paying Cup Series race outside the United States since 1958, and for Suárez, it’s a homecoming to his native Mexico.
In addition to ongoing support for RCR and Kyle Busch, Lucas Oil will provide aerial broadcast coverage for several NASCAR Cup Series races this season.
INDIANAPOLIS (March 25, 2025) – Lucas Oil, the leader in high-performance lubricants and a long-time partner of Richard Childress Racing (RCR), will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 8 Chevrolet, driven by two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, for multiple races throughout the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, beginning at Martinsville (Va.) MEXICO CITY — This is not the pina colada Cancun of your cruise ships, but a vibrant, sprawling, city center full of busy international vibes; welcoming and interesting. Smiling friendly people with places to be.
Beautiful snow-covered mountain peaks loom over Mexico City. Small, colorful taco stands decorate every corner, busy with lunch regulars. The sidewalks are filled with people and the traffic lanes are filled with mopeds and cars, door-to-door, bumper-to-bumper. Car horns and dog barks fill the air. It is a full sensory experience.
And the first big billboard rising out of the Mexico City airport? It advertises Chevrolets.
NASCAR will take its elite Cup Series international for the first points-paying race outside the United States with a June stop in Mexico City.
The Cup Series will race at storied Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, where NASCAR and track officials have a Tuesday morning news conference to announce the June 15 race, track officials told The Associated Press.
