SEBRING, Florida (March 12, 2025) – Championship-winning Porsche competitors GMG Racing and team drivers Kyle Washington, Patrick Mulcahy and James Sofronas will campaign a trio of Porsche 911 GT3 Cup entries in this week’s season-opening IMSA Carrera Cup North America doubleheader at Sebring International Raceway. Debuting series rookie Mulcahy and two-time Porsche racing champion Sofronas will each run their first full season Carrera Cup efforts in 2025 while Washington’s select schedule of races includes the Sebring opener, the season-ending race at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta and possible other rounds in between. SEBRING, Fla. (February 23, 2025) ― Paul Menard kicked off the 2025 season of the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli in a similar fashion to his 2024 championship-winning season: with a victory at Sebring International Raceway. After starting the race from the pole, he led the first five laps before being passed by 2023 CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series champion Brent Crews. However, a late mechanical issue by Crews put Menard back in the point position, allowing him to claim his first win of the season.

The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli will kick off the 2025 season at the site of its inaugural race in 1966, Sebring International Raceway, as part of the Sebring SpeedTour. The challenging 3.74-mile track has hosted 29 previous Trans Am races and has served as the season-opener for the series every year since 2013. This weekend, Sebring will host more than 60 cars between the TA/GT race and the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series, in addition approximately two dozen Historic Trans Am cars in the HTA races. (more…)
