Riverhead Raceway Outlasts Weather To Complete First 2024 Practice Day, Timmy Solomito Quickest Among Modifieds

Despite the efforts of mother nature to extend the off season at Riverhead Raceway another week, track officials out waited a stubborn weather front to complete the first of two practice days Saturday afternoon. Another test and tune practice will take place Saturday April 27th before a doubleheader weekend ushers in the 74th race season Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th.

Two Riverhead Raceway Practice Days To Showcase 2024 Season April 20th & 27th Featuring Free Grandstand Admission

After yet another long winter of inactivity, Riverhead Raceway will roar back to life Saturday April 20th with the first of two preseason practice days signaling the start of the 74th year of racing on the quarter mile bullring. Another “spring training” test & tune will be presented Saturday April 27th with spectators admitted to the grandstands free of charge both days. It all leads up to the 2024 opening weekend with NASCAR Pack the Track night Saturday evening May 4th and the May Meltdown Enduro lid lifter Sunday afternoon May 5th.

Allan Pedersen Gearing Up For Busy 2024 Campaign At Riverhead Raceway Pulling Triple Duty Opening Night May 4th

Often times in racing the dawning of a new season finds many drivers scrambling to find either rides or sponsors prior to opening night. Allan Pedersen of Center Moriches however is in the enviable position of having three seats waiting for him at the Riverhead Raceway NASCAR Pack the Track Night opening night May 4th. A seven division Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program will usher in the 74th season of racing at Riverhead on May 4th.

Highmark-Building Efficiency Teaming With Joey Braun To Chase 2024 Riverhead Raceway INEX Legend Race Car Championship

Rich Gerbe, co-founder of Highmark-Building Efficiency announced Friday morning that Highmark would team with Joey Braun of Manorville to chase the 2024 INEX Legend Race Car championship at Riverhead Raceway. Gerbe, the 1999 Legend Race Car champion at Riverhead also disclosed the new pairing would enter the $25,000 to win Carolina Family Pool & Patio INEX Legend Race Car event in December at Southern National Motorsports Park of North Carolina.

Ken Hyde Jr. To Accept Third S.A.F.E.R. Driving Championship Honors At March 30th Dinner, Hall Of Fame Class Announced

Long Island’s longest tenured auto racing club, the Suffolk Association of Figure Eight Racing announced today they will honor 2023 S.A.F.E.R. champion Ken Hyde Jr. of Medford at their annual awards dinner Saturday evening March 30th. The affair will take place at the Sea Cove Italian American Bar & Grill of Center Moriches from 6:00 pm through 10:00 pm and include the induction of the 2024 S.A.F.E.R. Hall of Fame recipients.

John Beatty Jr. Officially Crowned Riverhead Raceway 2023 NASCAR Modified Champion At Awards Celebration

The banquet room of Giorgio’s Baiting Hollow was full of celebration and good times Friday night as Riverhead Raceway owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz honored their 2023 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series champions during the sold-out gala. For the first time in his career John Beatty Jr. of Merick led the parade of champion as the NASCAR Modified champion and was celebrated for the 2023 title with car owner Mark S. Mina.

Jimmy Renfrew Jr Dominates Riverhead Raceway Full Fender Fall Frenzy 200 In Route To $5,000 Payday

There is a good chance Jimmy Renfrew Jr. of Candia, NH had never even flown over Riverhead Raceway prior to Sunday’s inaugural East & West Pest Control Full Fender Fall Frenzy 200. It took Renfrew all of 19-laps during a morning practice to familiarize himself with the tight bullring before going out and leading all but 2 of 200-laps for the $5,000 victory.
