2023 Riverhead Raceway Crown Jewel Series To Conclude At Islip 300, Ted Christopher Cup Awaits Champion

The 2023 Crown Jewel Series at Riverhead Raceway will culminate Saturday at the 7th annual Islip 300 for Tour Type Modifieds and heading into the $7,000 to win event Kyle Ellwood of Riverhead leads the race for the Ted Christopher Cup. The 2023 Crown Jewel Series consisted of six Tour Type Modified extra distance or signature events over the course of the summer carrying separate championship points from the Advance Auto Parts Weekly NASCAR rankings.

Matt Hirschman & Lou Strohl Head To Islip 300 Riding Momentum Of Big Weekend Modified Victories

It was a successful racing weekend for two veteran drivers out of Pennsylvania, “Money” Matt Hirschman scored his ninth career win in the John Blewett III Memorial North-South Shootout at Caraway, NC Speedway, while Lou Strohl was victorious in the Tom Wanick Jr. Memorial King of the Green event at Evergreen, Pa. Raceway. Both drivers hope to ride a wave of momentum into the 7th annual Islip 300 this Saturday November 11th at Riverhead Raceway.

Riverhead Raceway East & West Pest Control Full Fender Fall Frenzy Entries Nearing 40

If early registration for the inaugural East & West Pest Control Full Fender Fall Frenzy 200 Sunday November 12th is any indication, the $5,000 to win spectacular will be a competitive affair with drivers from across the Northeast converging on Riverhead Raceway. As of Friday November 3rd, early registration lists 38 teams planning on making the trip to Long Island in an eclectic mix of full-bodied race cars & trucks.

Early registration for the November 11th Islip 300 has begun and a quartet of drivers are among those who have registered for the $7,000 to win Tour Type Modified event. Fresh off his NASCAR Modified Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series championship John Beatty Jr. of Merrick, red hot Matt Hirschman of Northampton, Pa. and 2021 300 winner JB Fortin of Holtsville are among the entrants.

General Welding Supply Partnership Ups November 11th Riverhead Raceway Crate Modified Win To $2500, Rules Package Disclosed

The Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds will get in on the richest weekend at Riverhead Raceway when they compete in the General Welding Supply Corp. 50 event during the Islip 300 program. The race winner will walk off with a cool $2,500, largest ever for a Crate Modified victory at the historic quarter mile. Director of Technical Inspection Randy Murray also disclosed the rules package for the event in an effort to draw other GM 602 Crate Modifieds in the Northeast.

Infield Pitting Announced For 7th Annual Islip 300 November 11th At Riverhead Raceway

General manager John Ellwood announced the 7th annual Islip 300 would feature infield pitting for teams vying for the $7.000 victory, allowing fans to look on as talented race teams ply their craft.

Timmy Solomito Dominates Cecil Palm Tree 66, John Beatty Jr. Earns First NASCAR Modified Championship At Riverhead Raceway Sunday

Despite mother nature’s best efforts to halt Championship Night at Riverhead Raceway, track owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz finally found success Sunday afternoon with six track champions earning 2023 titles. The Cecil Palm Tree 66 NASCAR Modified event was dominated by Timmy Solomito of Islip who earned his fourth win in six weekly starts this season. John Beatty Jr. of Merrick would ride a third-place tally in the 66 to the 2023 NASCAR Modified championship, the first of his career.

Unfavorable Saturday Forecast Pushes Riverhead Raceway Championship Program To Sunday Afternoon

Faced with an extremely unfavorable Saturday forecast, Riverhead Raceway management announced Friday morning the once postponed Championship Night program set for Saturday evening would shift to Sunday afternoon.
