Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville took the lead with 25-laps remaining in the Eddie Partridge 256 Saturday night and drove off his his ninth career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victory. The win is the second in as many WMT races in the month of September for Bonsignore who won the September 3rd event at the Oswego Speedway and the late season hot streak has entrenched Justin into the tussle for the 2022 WMT drivers championship. MILFORD, Conn. – Earlier in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season, Doug Coby parked the Tommy Baldwin Racing No. 7NY in Victory Lane at Riverhead Raceway. The six-time Whelen Modified Tour champion’s victory in May was his third career at the New York quarter-mile, all coming within his last five starts.
HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. – With three races remaining in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season, Justin Bonsignore and the No. 51 Ken Massa Motorsports team are heading back home this weekend. On Saturday, September 17, Bonsignore will compete in the Ed Partridge 256-lap race at Riverhead Raceway, as the Whelen Modified Tour honors the late track owner in a truly special event.

It is sure to be a special event Saturday September 17th at Riverhead Raceway when the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour rolls into town for their 70th start at the historic quarter mile facility.
It was wall to wall racing Saturday evening at Riverhead Raceway with nine feature events totaling 270-laps presented before another large turnout. When the dust settled on the 50-lap NASCAR Modified feature Dylan Slepian of Dix Hills sat in the winners circle for the third time this season while in the companion 100-lap Eagle Auto Mall Crate Modified event Michael Berner of Patchogue notched his second win of the season. (Aug. 30, 2022) – NASCAR and Riverhead Raceway today announced the September NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race will now be known as the Eddie Partridge 256 and will feature a format change in tribute to the late Eddie Partridge, the long-time Riverhead Raceway and team owner who passed away last year.
What a difference a week makes, just ask Justin Brown of Manorville. A week after being the first car out of The Bubba 150, Justin rebounded Saturday night scoring his first career NASCAR Modified victory in a 50-lap, non stop event before a standing room only crowd at Riverhead Raceway. Riverhead Raceway hosted the annual Back To School Monster Truck mid week spectacular Wednesday evening complete with six Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series feature events with Max Handley of Medford topping the list of race winners when he won the 25-lap Eagle Auto Mall Crate Modified event. The win was the second of the season of Handley, a graduate of University of Northern Ohio. (more…)
When racing gives you lemons, you make lemonade. That is exactly what Chris Turbush of Wading River did Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway capturing his first career NASCAR Modified victory in spectacular fashion. Turbush was penalized earlier in the race for rough driving after contact with another competitor. Instead of throwing in the towel Turbush and his team pulled up their boot straps went to work and drove back to the front for the win. (more…)
