Monaco Ford Tri-Track Modified Tri-Track Series Set for Thunder Road Return in 2023

Barre, VT — Following the tremendous success of the inaugural Granite City 100 on Sunday, May 29^th, Thunder Road and Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series officials are excited to announce that the Modifieds will return for the 60th Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic weekend on Sunday, May 28^th, 2023. Highlighted by rip-roaring speeds as drivers drafted and fought for every position with three of the top Modified drivers in the East left standing in victory lane, the Granite City 100 proved to be one of the biggest racing events in the Northeast this season. Dowling Pockets $10k at Thunder Road Debut as Donahue Adds to Family Legacy in the Memorial Day Classic

Barre, VT — Memorial Day Weekend brings with it the start of summer, and especially the beginning of full-fledged race season. For race fans from across New England, seeing 138 different racecars pack the pit area of Thunder Road International Speedbowl on Sunday was a welcome sight for the summer season ahead. Chase Dowling Wins Inaugural Monaco Modified Tri-Track Stop at Thunder Road

BARRE, Vt. – The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series visited Barre, Vermont for the first time in history and Chase Dowling wasn’t going to be denied. The Roxbury, Connecticut, native captured the $10,000 winning prize in the Granite City 100 – passing for the lead with 48 laps to go and leading the remainder of the distance en route to Victory Lane.

2021 Champions, Top Runners Honored at Thunder Road Banquet

Barre, VT — As part of last weekend’s 63^rd Season Opener and Community Bank 150, Thunder Road and the American-Canadian Tour celebrated their 2021 champions, top runners and rookies as well as the various annual special awards presented by the ACT sanctioning body. Because of COVID-19 concerns, the annual dinner and awards ceremony was once again held outdoors on the Thunder Road property under the afternoon sun. (more…)

Sweet is Still the ‘King of Barre’ in Fourth Community Bank 150 Triumph

Barre, VT — With 117 cars on hand for the 63rd Season Opener at Thunder Road International Speedbowl, 17 qualifying races were needed before the four feature races took the green creating some of the best stock car racing in the United States at the ‘Nation’s Site of Excitement.’ When all the dust settled Sunday afternoon, a first time winner stood amongst hardened veterans and the ‘King of Barre’ remained on his throne.
