David Gravel has one thing in mind right now – securing his first World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car championship.
He first made his focus clear on Wednesday when Sea Foam Qualifying Night got the World of Outlaws World Finals underway. The Watertown, CT native laid down two heaters to sweep both Simpson Quick Time Awards.

How Did New-England-Connected NASCAR Drivers Do In Phoenix?
First of all, Joey Logano of Middletown, CT won the 2024 Cup Championship again!  While Chase Briscoe won the race with Joey Logano coming in eighth then Corey LaJoie in ninth.  Then it was Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT coming in 12th while Boston’s Kaz Grala had to settle for 34th. Corey LaJoie is the son of Two-Time NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion Randy, who was a native of Norwalk, CT before moving to the Charlotte, NC area to be closer the top NASCAR Divisions.
Riley Herbest won the Xfinity race with Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT turning in a 14th finishing position then it was Blaine Perkins coming in 22nd with Patrick Emerling of Long Island, NY and Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT being awarded 36th.  Both Perkins and Alfredo race team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and daughter Mary Our of Chatham, MA

We’ve had a great season. Seven events under our 2024 belt, and only one had any rain (so far). Will our luck hold? Well, it IS November and this IS New England, so anything is possible.

Ryan Blaney won the Cup race while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT came in tenth with Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT finishing 14th while Boston’s Kaz Grala had to settle for 27th.  Then it was Corey LaJoie that placed 35th.  Corey LaJoie is the son of Two-Time Xfinity Champion Randy Lajoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT before he decided to head for Charlotte, NC in order to be closer to the top NASCAR action.
Aric Almirola took the checked flag first in the Xfinity race with seventh place going to Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT while Parker Kligerman of Weston, CT came in eighth.  Blaine Perkins finished 19th with Long Island’s Patrick Emerling caming home in 23rd.  Alfredo and Perkins both drive Team Cars for Cape Cod’s Chris Our and his daughter Mary who reside in Chatham, MA.
