LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports coverage of the 17-race 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season scored in a big way, averaging 1,362,000 viewers according to Nielsen Media Research, a +27% year-to-year increase from 2024 and the most-watched season in 17 years. In 2025, the NTT INDYCAR Series has recorded the most audience growth to date of any sport averaging at least a million viewers.

Lou Modestino Track Talk: Here’s How Northeast Drivers Performed At Darlington And Portland
Northeastern senior correspondent Lou Modestino checks in with his latest Track Talk:
Chase Briscoe won the Cup race at Darlington, SC. Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT finished 16th, and Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended his day in 20th position.
The Xfinity race in Portland, OR saw Conner Zillich go to Victory Lane. Thomas Annunziata of NJ finished 28th while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT ended his day in 33rd.
The Craftsman Trucks also raced at Darlington, SC. Correy Heim won that one, with Corey LaJoie placing 20th. Corey LaJoie is the son of Two -Time Xfinity Champion Randy Lajoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT before he moved to Charlotte, NC to be closer to all of the NASCAR Teams. Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA ended up 22nd.
The Indy Cars were in action at Nashville, TN, and Josef Newgarden won that one. Santino Ferrucci of Ridgefield, CT came in eighth.
Will Power To Depart Team Penske For The 2026 Season
MOORESVILLE, NC (September 2, 2025) – Team Penske announced today that after 17 years driving for the legendary organization, Will Power will depart the team prior to the 2026 season. Ryan Blaney won the Cup race at Daytona. Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 14th. Not so lucky was Joey Logano of Middletown, CT, who ended his day in 27th place.Conner Zilisch won the Xfinity race by virtue of Parker Kligerman from Weston CT stepping into the seat after Zilisch’s injury. Patrick Emerling of LI, NY placed 13th while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT had a bad day and ended up 37th.
In Indycar, at the Milwaukee Mile, Christian Rassmussen was the winner while Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT ended his day 14th place in the A. J. Foyt entry.

734,000 viewers watched Alex Palou win Sunday’s NTT INDYCAR SERIES race from WeatherTech Laguna Seca Raceway on FOX, up +829% from 79,000 viewers for last year’s Laguna Seca race that was affected by a network scheduling change.
- Up +36% vs. 538,000 viewers for the 2023 race, which aired as the season finale (9/10/23)
- Up +17% from last year’s 626,000 viewers for the 2024 non-Indy 500 race average
