On Sunday, Shane Van Gisbergen won the Cup race with Joey Logano of Middletown, CT finishing ninth . Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT ended his day in 12th.
In the Xfinity Series, on Saturday, it was Connor Zilisch who scored the win. Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT came in 23rd while Kris Wright ended his day in 29th. Wright drives for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our.
On the Indy Car scene Alex Palou won the Iowa race. Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT ended his day in 15th.

DALLAS (July 9, 2025) – The NASCAR Cup Series goes coast-to-coast next week, competing in Northern California on Sunday at Sonoma Raceway and then traveling 2,900 miles eastward to the shores of Delaware for next Sunday’s race at Dover Motor Speedway.
In between, Christopher Bell, driver of the No. 20 Toyota Camry XSE for Joe Gibbs Racing, will spend Wednesday and Thursday, July 16-17, in Rossburg, Ohio, at the famed Eldora Speedway where he will compete in the first two nights of the 42nd annual Kings Royal, one of sprint car racing’s crown-jewel events.

Two of the team’s longtime associates that have experience across both programs will officially transition to their new roles, beginning this weekend. Heavy rain on Monday night that saturated the grounds and the forecast of rain joined by high winds, severe weather and potential flooding in the early evening hours has forced the decision to cancel the Tuesday night, July 1 Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Speed Week event joined by the 358 Modifieds. It is with great disappointment that we had to make this decision as this event is always the highlight of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series. At this time there are no plans to reschedule this event due to the already full schedule of racing the balance of the year.

BECHTELSVILLE, PA JUNE 29, 2025 . . . . . .$10,000 and the honor of holding the Hodnett Cup will lure some of the best sprint car drivers in the country to Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, July 1 when the PA 410 Sprint Speed Week Series teams up with the 358 Modifieds in a spectacular Double Header. Early entries include Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell, both previous winners of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series. Other expected entries include Anthony Macri, looking for his first Thunder win along with Danny Dietruch, Lucas Wolfe and Troy Wagamen to name a few. Gates open at 5 PM and race time is set for 7:30 PM.
