Skillsville, new from PBS KIDS, reminds us that there’s a world of possibilities in whichever line of work we choose. In the Race Car Driver episode (12 minutes long), “Racer Rae” needs the help of her pit crew — Scout, Dev and Cora — to win the race. It’s an episode that racing fans of all ages can enjoy together!
Over the course of five years, Skillsville was developed into a gamified multi-media universe to prepare K-2 kids for a world of possibilities. The thirty-sixth season of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will kickoff at the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, May 20 when Levan Machine & Truck Equipment present the Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 Sprints in the Roto-Rooter Mid-Week Series. The top 410 sprint car drivers in the country will be chasing a $20,000 first place prize for winning the 35 lap event. In addition, if the race winner is a Pennsylvania driver, the will pocket an additional $2,000 bonus courtesy of Alpine Building Supply. Rico Aberu won the inaugural running of the High Limit 410 Sprints at Grandview in 2023 with local favorite Brent Marks winning the 2024 edition of the show and collecting the $2,000 PA driver bonus.
