BECHTELSVILLE, PA (June 11, 2024) – It was a night of firsts at Bechtelsville’s Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night as Pioneer Pole Buildings presented the Jesse Hockett Classic. It was the first night of the 17th Annual Eastern Storm, the first career USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Championship win for Allentown, PA’s Briggs Danner, and the first NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series victory for Vineland, NJ’s Eric Kormann in the NASCAR 358 Modifieds.

Seventeen years ago the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series approached the United States Auto Club with the thought of presenting a USAC Non-Wing Sprint Championship event. The rest is history as other tracks followed the trend to present the AMSOIL USAC Eastern Storm.

This fan favorite event, presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings will showcase the popular 358 Modifieds and the seventeenth annual USAC Eastern Storm. Race time is 7:30 PM with gates opening at 5 PM.

The Thunder on the Hill Racing Series continues on Tuesday night, June 11 when Pioneer Pole Buildings present the opening night of the seventeenth annual AMSOIL USAC Non-Wing Sprint Cars Eastern Storm joined by the 358 Modifieds. It’s a spectacular doubleheader and it all takes place right where the Eastern Storm started, at the Grandview Speedway.
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Briggs Danner of Allentown Pa. was able to win out on a four driver battle for the lead, then fend off a last lap challenge from Steven Drevicki of Reading, Pa. to score the win in the 25-lap Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Sprint Series feature Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.
