Back To The West Coast: Portland International Raceway Is Up Next For NASCAR Xfinity Series

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will be heading back to Portland International Raceway for the Pacific Office Automation 147 on Saturday, June 1 at 4:30 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. This will be just the third-time the Xfinity Series has competed on the 1.97-mile road course.

Christopher Bell made it to Victory Lane in the Cup race with Joey Logano of Middletown, CT coming in 14th and Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT took 26th with Boston’s Kaz Grala ending up 34th while Corey LaJoie ended his day in 35th.
Corey LaJoie is the son of Randy LaJoie who called Norwalk, CT home before he moved to Charlotte, NC to be closer to the NASCAR action in which he won a pair of Xfinity Championships.
Chase Elliott came home the victor in the Xfinity Series race with Kyle Weatherman ended up 10th and Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT got 16th, Patrick Emerling of Long Island, NY came in 30th, Blain Perkins was 35th and Parker Kligerman of Stamford, CT ended up 37th. Weatherman and Perkins both drive team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our that get their US Mail in Harwich, MA.
Tanner Gray won the Menards ARCA Series while Andy Jankowiak of Buffalo, NY came in 16th.
Joseph Newgarden won the Indy 500 and Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT. Ferrucci was also in the hunt for the entire 500 miles

After a week off to regroup, the NASCAR Xfinity Series will be heading back to action at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the BetMGM 300 at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 25 on FOX, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

There have been 78 NASCAR Xfinity Series races at Charlotte Motor Speedway dating back to the inaugural event on May 29, 1982, which was won by Harry Grant.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series was off last weekend but will be back in action this weekend at Darlington Raceway for the Crown Royal Purple Bag Project 200 on Saturday May 11 at 1:30 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Darlington Raceway nicknamed the track ‘too tough to tame,’ has hosted 67 Xfinity Series races, producing 36 different race winners and 32 different pole winners.
