CONCORD, N.C. (Nov. 16, 2021) – Roush Fenway Racing announced today a robust rebranding strategy that will see the organization change its official name to Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing (going by RFK Racing). The team unveiled a new branding campaign and all new marks at a media luncheon at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Tuesday. The branding includes a new organizational logo structure, as well as a rebranding of the team’s iconic No. 6 mark.
Waterbury, VT and Naples, ME — The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) and Modified Racing Series (MRS) will be part of the 60th Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) have officially announced the additions of both series, which join the Outlaw Open Modified Series Thompson 300 as part a Tour-type Modified tripleheader at the 2022 edition of the annual racing festival.
Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT was dealt with yet another blow in less than a month when FIA released their updated Driver Categorization list. Kligerman who is currently ranked Gold will be downgraded to Silver with effect from January 2022. (more…)
In a curious turn of events, It appears Derek Griffith of Hudson, NH will not be returning to the ARCA Menards Series in 2022, having been unable to find funding for the 2022 ARCA Menards Series Season, after his sponsor appears not to renewed for the 2022 season. (more…)
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 11, 2021) – As the 2021 season comes to an end, NASCAR prepares for a return to Nashville from Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 to host its annual Champion’s Week celebration.
After one season, Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT has departed Front Row Motorsports. On Tuesday, the team announced its plans for the 2022 NASCAR season, which includes continuing as a two-car operation in the Cup Series and fielding a truck for Todd Gilliland in the Camping World Truck Series. However, while Michael McDowell will return to the #34 Ford Mustang, Alfredo will not be back in the #38.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 10, 2021) — Longtime NASCAR broadcaster Bob Jenkins has been named the winner of the 2021 Squier-Hall Award for NASCAR Media Excellence. He is the 10th recipient of the prestigious award named after Ken Squier and Barney Hall.
