NASCAR Cup Series Star Ryan Preece To Sign Autographs And Serve As Honorary Starter At “The Night Before The Glen – Rod Spalding Classic

KIDS ROCChemung, N.Y. – (August 6, 2025) – The Race of Champions Modified Series will continue one of the Southern Tier’s most cherished traditions this Saturday, August 9, with the running of “The Night Before The Glen – Rod Spalding Classic” at Chemung Speedrome — and this year’s event just got a major boost.   NASCAR Cup Series star Ryan Preece, of Berlin, Conn., driver of the RKF Racing No. 60, will join the night’s festivities to sign autographs and serve as honorary starter for the 75-lap Modified Series feature. Preece, one of the sport’s most popular and respected drivers, has been on a hot streak and recently appeared on the Dale Jr. Download with Dale Earnhardt Jr., generating national buzz.

NASCAR Youth Series To Compete At Richmond Raceway, Aug. 14 – 16

NASCAR Youth SeriesRICHMOND, Va. (Aug. 6, 2025) – Richmond Raceway announced today that the NASCAR Youth Series presented by Cook Out will showcase the sport’s stars of tomorrow August 14-16. Drivers ages 5-16 will race in the drift and bus parking lots near Laburnum Lot C, providing fans with even more action leading up to the Cook Out 400 NASCAR Cup Series Race on Saturday. This event is FREE for spectators.

NASCAR Grants Xfinity Series Playoffs Waiver To Austin Hill

Austin HillNASCAR officials have granted a waiver to Austin Hill, officials confirmed to NASCAR.com Tuesday night, allowing the No. 21 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet driver to remain eligible for the Xfinity Series Playoffs despite missing last weekend’s race at Iowa Speedway.

Hill, a three-time winner in 2025, was suspended from Saturday’s Hy-Vee Perks 250 at Iowa for his actions in the July 26 race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where officials viewed Hill intentionally crashed Aric Almirola in the waning laps of the event. Hill was also issued a five-lap penalty for reckless driving immediately after the incident.
