NEW 4:00pm Start Time Sunday, September 1st, Labor Day Weekend Camping Begins Friday

Barre, VT — Thunder Road and American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials announced today a small change in schedule for the 46th Labor Day Classic 200 program presented by NEFCU/VSECU on Sunday, September 1. The annual 200 lap affair will continue to be held on Sunday, September 1 but will move to an evening special with an afternoon Post Time of 4:00pm.

The annual Labor Day weekend special has annually been held with a 1:30pm post time but Thunder Road and ACT officials have cited several reasons for the move. “Moving to 4:00pm will hopefully eliminate the need for teams to find a place to stay overnight Saturday and still get home at a decent hour Sunday night,” said Thunder Road and ACT managing partner Cris Michaud. “The side-by-side racing on Thursday nights has been fantastic this season and ACT under the lights at Thunder Road is sure to be a great show!” (more…)

Back to School Day is in the ‘Books’ at Hudson Speedway!

Hudson, NH- As the Original Family Fun track returned to day hours it means one thing, Summer is coming to an end. To celebrate the track held back to school day giving out back packs to kids preparing to start school this coming week.

Granite State Indoor Range Six Shooters took to the track to do battle. The race would be slowed by one caution flag. Steve Miller Jr. in car #79 led every lap to capture the win. The real excitement was the three-car battle for second that came down to the last lap to shake out. Michael Yeaton in car #25NH used a three wide pass to capture 2nd. Steve Miller Sr. in the #68 settled for 3rd with Trystin Bodwell (17x) in 4th and Mike Comtois (52NH) in 5^th.

Cliff Saunders & Paul Varricchio, Jr. Score Aug. 23 Late Model Feature Wins; Talman, Chapman, Lavoie, & Downey Also Notch Wins at Stafford

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted another round of Weekly Racing with twin Late Model feature events on Friday, Aug. 23rd. Cliff Saunders and Paul Varricchio, Jr. were the winners of the Late Model feature events with Saunders picking up his first win of the season and Varricchio using a last lap pass to record his second win of the season. Troy Talman was victorious for the third time this season in the SK Modified® feature, Tyler Chapman notched his sixth win of the season in the SK Light feature, Jeremy Lavoie took down his first win of the season in the Limited Late Model feature, and Travis Downey scored win #2 of the season in the Street Stock feature. Gluchacki Redoubles ACT Championship Chase with Late-Race Move to Secure Big Oxford Victory on 250 Weekend

Oxford, ME — With beautiful weather over Eastern Maine, forty-three teams entered Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday with the American-Canadian Tour faithful running door-to-door in the Oxford 125 as part of the 51st annual Oxford 250 weekend. ACT officials confirmed all forty-three teams would start Saturday’s feature event and Derry, New Hampshire’s Erick Sands took the pole position by virtue of a +5 handicap earned in heat race Plus/Minus qualifying events. On a picture-perfect evening, a standing room only crowd packed Riverhead Raceway for the final School Bus Demolition Derby of 2024. Prior to the mayhem, the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series was in action with Jeremy McDermott of Riverhead capturing the headline 40-lap Late Model feature event for his third win of the season.

Barre, VT — Terry Pearce and Paige Whittemore brought the rk Miles Street Stocks out of the pit area to lead Cody Chevrolet-Cadillac Night at Thunder Road with their 25-lap main event. The first caution on lap 4 spelled trouble for title hopeful Trevor Jaques while Pearce maintained the lead on the restart over Whittemore and Jamie Davis as title hopefuls Ryan Foster, Dean Switser and Josh Lovely began to breathe down their backs! Through it all, Terry Pearce would earn his second win of the season in style, dominating the Cody Chevrolet-Cadillac trophy dash with Paige Whittemore and Jamie Davis joining him in victory lane. Steven Chapman and Amanda West Continue Trend of 2024 First-Time Winners at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—For any driver, a first victory is a special occurrence and the Friday, August 16 Lincoln Tech 80 program at Stafford Speedway welcomed two new winners, Steven Chapman and the #14 Chapman Apartment Homes team in the SK Modified® division, and Amanda West and the #15 McKinney Construction team in the SK Light division. New winners have been a theme at Stafford in 2024 with Chapman and West becoming the 8th and 9th different first-time winners during the 2024 season. Chapman’s win was his third overall career win at Stafford but first in the SK Modified® division, while West’s victory was a first in any division at Stafford.
