LEBANON, Tenn. – His tires chattering with age over the final few laps, Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT held off charging Zane Smith and Carson Hocevar to win Friday night’s Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway.
The fireworks started off early with the rain-postponed Casella Waste Management 50-lapper for the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models. From the pole position hard-luck driver Scott Coburn led the early war but was overtaken by Memorial Day Classic winner Stephen Donahue on lap 15. Donahue continued to dominate through a lap-22 scramble in turn four between the 94VT of Brendan Moodie and the 0VT of Scott Dragon that took out contenders Brooks Clark and Bobby Therrien. (more…)

A spectacular Fireworks show will be presented and the night will conclude with a bone jarring Demolition Derby. RIVERHEAD, N.Y. – Justin Bonsignore captured a second-place finish in the Buzz Chew 200 at Riverhead Raceway on Saturday night. The three-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion was out front of the seventh race of the season in the final stages, but Riverhead weekly regular Kyle Soper found his way around, capturing his first Whelen Modified Tour win.
RIVERHEAD, N.Y. – Six-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Doug Coby captured a 10th place finish on Saturday, June 25 at Riverhead Raceway. Competing for Tommy Baldwin Racing in the Buzz Chew 200, Coby qualified 10th, and ran inside the top-10 for the duration of the race, finishing right where he started.
Every time the popular NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour rolls into Riverhead Raceway on Long Island it is usually noted along the way the last time a track regular won a WMT event was back in 1995. Saturday night Kyle Soper of Manorville, the reigning champion at the quarter mile bullring scored one for the home team winning the Buzz Chew Chevrolet 200 after reclaiming the lead from defending WMT kingpin Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville with 10-laps remaining. Bonsignore will begin the busy summer stretch at his home track, Riverhead Raceway, on Saturday, June 25, in the Buzz Chew 200.
