A late race caution flag with four laps left shuffled the deck Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway in The Flying Dutchman 90 NASCAR Modified event and when the dust settled John Beatty Jr. of Merrick master the late race restart to capture a milestone 10th career win. A strong field of 27 Tour Type Modifieds turned out for the race celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Fred Harbach’s winning the final race of his career leading to the track championship on September 19th,1992. Stephen Kopcik came up a winner for the second consecutive week in the SK Modified® feature while it was a big night for the Gray family as Adam Gray won the Late Model feature and his 6-year-old son Jacob won the Kids Big Wheel race. N. Woodstock, NH — A night highlighted by first time winners and longtime dominators left plenty of dust to be settled on the high banks of White Mountain Motorsports Park. At the end of the night, two drivers grabbed the checkered flag for the first time, one took his first win of the year while a traveling Late Model team stole the local show and a Modified ace took his first Modified Racing Series win since 2010. ESPN’s live telecast of the rain-delayed Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday, May 29, averaged 1.4 million viewers, the largest live cable audience for the race on record and the second most-viewed live telecast of the historic race ever.
