In the waning days of October Tommy Baldwin Jr. announced he’ll field two cars for the $7,000 to win race, naming Jimmy Blewett of Howell, NJ and Michael Christopher Jr. of Wolcott, Ct. as his drivers. Bob Tasca III of Hope, RI powered the all-electric Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 to an 8.350 pass at 167.45 Friday at the Dodge//SRT NHRA Nationals as Las Vegas as he sets his sights on bettering the 8,12, 172-mph pass he recorded earlier this year.
After blown engine Texas Motor Speedway and a lackluster ninth-place run at Kansas Speedway in the first two races of #NASCAR’s Round of 8 playoffs, Joey Logano of Middletown, CT had only one option to make it to the finale at Phoenix Raceway. MARTINSVILLE, VA – A spin, payback, and a late-race rally left Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT with a top-10 finish at Martinsville Speedway.
With 42 laps to go in the United Rentals 200, Kligerman was inside the top-10 in the No. 75 Luck’s Beans Toyota Tundra. Contact with Johnny Sauter sent the Henderson Motorsports driver spinning in Turn 3.
About 15 laps later, Kligerman found himself behind Sauter’s No. 13 Farm Paint Toyota Tundra. Tired of the lack of respect, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver sent his competitor deep into Turn 1. Sauter ultimately spun into the Turn 1 wall. Under the ensuing caution, the 31-year-old pitted for tires.
“At some point I have to stand up,” explained Kligerman. “The kids spin you out, the veterans spin you out. It’s just ridiculous. There’s no empathy or any sort of race etiquette at these places. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. Hate that we had to do that.”

For the third time in the past four seasons Kyle Soper brought home the Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified championship honors at Riverhead Raceway for car owner Wayne Anderson. The tandem hope to ride that championship momentum to a second victory in the Islip 300 Saturday November 13th. Kyle won the 2019 edition of the $7,000 to win Tour Type Modified extravaganza.
