Kyle Soper Captures Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 Riverhead Raceway Win
On a night where three iconic NASCAR Modified drivers were honored an old school race long duel between eventual winner Kyle Soper of Manorville and defending champion Tom Rogers Jr. of Riverhead highlighted the annual Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway with Soper prevailing. For Soper it was his second Buzz Chew Chevorlet NASCAR Modified feature win in a row and Kyle’s first ever in the 77 just two weeks after stating the race was one he’d like to cross off his racing bucket list. Smithers Takes Dwarf Car Special at White Mountain
N. Woodstock, NH — Gilmanton, NH’s Tommy Smithers captured the biggest Arnold’s Wayside Diner Dwarf Car event of the season at North Woodstock, NH’s White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday, August 7. Smithers took the lead early in the 50-lap main event and held off a series of challenges to score his third win this season and unofficially take over the points lead.
Big Names Ready for Rescheduled “Battle at the Bowl” on Sunday (Devil’s Bowl Speedway)
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Mother Nature can’t stop Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The third annual “Battle at the Bowl” Dirt Modified event was postponed a week by rain to Sunday, August 15 at 5:00 p.m., but a little wet weather certainly did not dampen the spirit of the event. Hoyt Outruns Competition and Weather to Win Bolduc Enduro 200 at Thunder Road
Barre, VT — Braintree’s George Hoyt proved that steady and sure wins the race by triumphing in the 37th Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro 200 at Barre’s Thunder Road on Sunday, August 8. Hoyt inherited the lead after previous Enduro winner Richie Turner crashed out with less than 20 laps to go and bested the 118-car field for a $3,000 winner’s purse. (more…)

Cabral Doubles up at the High Banks of Hudson in NEMA Sunday Special
The Northeastern Midget Association rolled into the high banks of the Hudson International Speedway this past Saturday evening. It was the first time the full midgets visited Hudson in nearly 20 years, and the second time this season for the LItes. Seven-time NEMA champion, Randy Cabral of Kingston, MA, dominated the evening winning both the Lite and NEMA portions of the show. Cabral extended his historic run, winning a feature event in the last 22 consecutive seasons – a mark that surpassed Dave Humphrey’s fifteen consecutive seven years ago.
