Fast Friday, NASCAR Racing Return To Seekonk Speedway This Weekend

SEEKONK, Mass. — The month of June at Seekonk Speedway will end with a doubleheader weekend of racing, with both Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday on the track June 27 & 28.

Fast Friday includes five divisions of racing, with three special event Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series races. On NASCAR Saturday, four divisions roar back to the third-mile with a special Triple Crown event in the Pro Stocks, two 40-lap races in the Seekonk Speedway 80th Anniversary Series for the Sport Trucks and Sportsman, and the Late Models.

Seekonk, MA — At breakneck speed with just two divisions on tap for Wednesday night’s showdown at Seekonk Speedway, the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour thrilled at the Action Track of the East with many of the touring faithful going for their second event in four days at two facilities separated by a seven-hour ride! Through it all, one of the best battles for the lead occurred on the tricky third-mile Bay State oval for all the honors that go with the 50th Spring Green 125.

With time of the essence, one round of heat race qualifying set the field for the second round of the Brookside Equipment Sales Triple Crown on Wednesday evening with Joey Polewarczyk, Brandon Lambert and Derek Gluchacki taking the heat race wins. After driving from dead last to fourth in heat two, D.J. Shaw earned the pole position with a +5 alongside St. Paul, Quebec’s Remi Perreault and his +3 to bring the twenty-six car field to green.

Justin Bonsignore Leading The Charge To White Mountain Motorsports Park

Four-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Justin Bonsignore leads NASCAR’s oldest touring series back to White Mountain Motorsports Park this Sunday afternoon. Originally set for Saturday, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour White Mountain 200 will now be run on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., due to Mother Nature.

The Tour only has two prior stops at White Mountain, both during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Bonsignore picked up the win in the inaugural series stop at the track, and followed it up by finishing fifth in the second one.

Saturday’s NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Race at White Mountain Motorsports Park Postponed Due to Inclement Weather Forecast
  • Thunder in the Mountains 200 postponed to Sunday, June 29, at 2:30 p.m. ET

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (June 25, 2025) – NASCAR and White Mountain Motorsports Park have postponed this Saturday’s scheduled NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event one day to Sunday as a forecast for inclement weather impacts the area.

The race will now begin at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 29.

The weather delays the Whelen Modified Tour’s return to White Mountain Motorsports Park following a five-year absence by a day. The Tour ran a pair of races at the track in 2020, won by Justin Bonsignore and Doug Coby.

  • The Team EJP 175 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series playoff race takes the green flag at “The Magic Mile” on Saturday, Sept. 20 to determine the Round of 8.

LOUDON, N.H. – New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) today announced that its longest-standing partner, E.J. Prescott, Inc. (Team EJP), will serve as the title sponsor of the Team EJP 175 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) playoff race on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025 and multiple years to come.

“My father Peter has been involved with New Hampshire Motor Speedway since the first shovel went into the ground,” said third-generation E.J. Prescott, Inc., President and CEO Steven Prescott. “I am proud to say that since the first NASCAR event at NHMS in 1990, the Prescott family has never missed a NASCAR event at the speedway. We are so excited not only to be a part of the return of the Truck Series to NHMS, but also to have our company’s name on the Team EJP 175.”

How Did New Englanders Do At Pocono This Past Weekend?
Chase Briscoe won the Cup race.   Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT finished eighth while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT came in 16th.
Connor Zilisch won the Xfinity race.   Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT finished 13th with Patrick Emerling of Long Island, NY coming in 30th.  Kris Wright made it to 37th place.  Wright drives the Cape Cod owned Chris and Mary Our entry, father and daughter, that reside in Chatham, MA.
The Truck race was won by Layne Riggs with Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA coming in 11th.  Patrick Emerling finished 15th.
Also, the Indy Cars were at Elkhart Lake, WI where Alex Palou won that one.  Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT came in third place, his best finish ever.
Note: We and others are still very unhappy with NASCAR about the last five “Flowing” broadcasts and the extra money to view it.  That fact and many other things over the past years have turned off many NASCAR fans.
