(Stafford Springs, CT)— Stafford Speedway hosted the extra distance Monaco Ford SK Light Double Down along with Stafford Speedway’s other four weekly divisions as well as a kids big wheel race on Friday, July 11th.  Chris Matthews was the big winner of the night, capturing the 40-lap Monaco Ford SK Light Double Down feature for his second win of the 2025 season.  Mikey Flynn won the SK Modified® feature for his first win of 2025, Andrew Durand was a first-time 2025 winner in the Late Model feature, Kevin Cormier was another first time 2025 winner in the Limited Late Model feature, and Aaron Plemons was a winner for the third time this season in the Street Stock feature.

(July 13, 2025) – 22 years after making his first-career start at Watkins Glen International in the NASCAR Cup Series, Paul Menard finally took checkered flag at the historic racetrack in the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli’s 50th race at The Glen. After rolling off third in his No. 3 Pittsburgh Paints/Menards Ford Mustang, the 2024 champion made the pass for the lead on lap 17 and was engaged in a cat-and-mouse game with Adam Andretti (No. 17 Top Liner Chevrolet Camaro) until the checkered flag waved.
