Season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship commenced today with a thrilling spectacle at São Paulo’s Sambadrome circuit. The race saw Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing) claim victory having started from the back of the grid. Bad news for defending Snowball Derby winner Ty Majeski. A chunk of asphalt came off the track and damaged his car. The NASCAR Truck Series champion is looking to become the second three-time winner in the history of the race.
The track at Five Flags Speedway has cracks and character. Unfortunately, too much character. A piece of the track did damage to the nose and duct work of the No. 91 according to Matt Weaver of Sportsnaut. (more…)
