Wiscasset Speedway Sends off 2024 Race Season with Annual Fall Fury Event

After 6 months of racing excitement, Wiscasset Speedway bid adieu to their 2024 race season on Saturday with their annual Fall Fury event. This year’s program included the Wicked Good Vintage Racers, the Ladies Acceleration Tour and a 150-lap Enduro.
The racing action kicked off with a 25-lap feature for the WGVR Late Models. Addison Bowie was a dominant force until lap 20, where he came to a slow on the track, causing the field to check up. George Haskell took over on the restart and never looked back, picking up the feature victory while Bobby Symonds and Parker Long rounded out the podium.

Talladega Leaves the Door to the Playoffs’ Round of 8 Wide-Open
As the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs move to the Round of 12 elimination race, the Bank of America ROVAL 400 on Sunday at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course (2 p.m. ET on NBC, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) the championship standings actually – and perhaps amazingly – look similar to their position before last weekend’s predictably unpredictable race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.
Toyota Clinches 2024 ARCA Menards Series Manufacturer’s Championship
PLANO, Texas (Oct. 8, 2024) – For the eighth consecutive year, and the ninth time in its history, Toyota has been crowned the manufacturer’s champion of the ARCA Menards Series.
Toyota has had another exception season in the ARCA Menards Series, winning 14 of the 20 races in the 2024 season. This includes three instances where Toyota won three races in a row, at the start of the year from Daytona International Speedway to Talladega Superspeedway, in the late summer stretch from the Illinois State Fairgrounds at Springfield to the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds and to end the season from Bristol Motor Speedway to Toledo Speedway.
Mercedes-AMG Competitors Combine for Two Race Wins and Four More Podiums While Mercedes-AMG Secures Third-Consecutive GT America Manufacturer Championship
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Mercedes-AMG clinched a third-straight GT America powered by AWS Manufacturer Championship to highlight a successful season-ending weekend of SRO America competition at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) that included GT4 and GT2 race wins and a three-day haul of six total podium finishes. The half dozen visits to IMS victory lane included a pair of podium showings by Mercedes-AMG Performance Teams GruppeM Racing and Lone Star Racing. Maro Engel, Jules Gounon and Mikael Grenier drove the No. 130 Mercedes-AMG Team GruppeM Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 to a second-place Pro-class finish while the No. 4 Mercedes-AMG Team Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller and Alex Palou rallied to third-place Pro honors in Saturday’s Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) Indianapolis 8 Hour. Sedgwick and PT Autosport Have Plenty to Play For at Road Atlanta
