Kyle Larson made an emphatic statement with his victory in Saturday night’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
That doesn’t mean, however, that there aren’t formidable hurdles Larson still has to cross if he hopes to claim a second NASCAR Cup Series championship.

North East, Pa. – (September 23, 2024) – Matt Hirschman of Northampton, PA, has a “magic touch” when it comes to the VP Racing Fuels Race of Champions 250. For the 9th time he etched his name into the record books with a great performance in the 74th annual Race of Champions 250 this past Sunday.
Hirschman started 2nd and fended off several challengers to race his way to victory including a late race pitstop for a fresh left rear tire and his crew got him out first.

Feature winners on the night included Todd Owen in the SK Modified® feature, Adam Gray in the Late Model feature, Tyler Chapman in the SK Light feature, RJ Surdell in the Limited Late Model feature, and Tyler Trott in the Street Stock feature. N. Woodstock, NH — Twenty-nine American-Canadian Tour teams entered the pit area of White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday morning with twenty-eight able to take the green for the 46th running of the Fall Foliage 200 presented by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. It was a Southern New Hampshire pair who led the field to green with former White Mountain Late Model Rookie of the Year Bryan Wall Jr. securing the pole position with a +3 earned in heat three alongside former ACT top freshman Erick Sands.
The two battled in the opening rounds of the 200-lap main event with Sands taking the upper hand to lead the way through lap 26 before Gabe Brown took over the point. Brown, coming off last Saturday’s successful Wall’s Ford Platinum Series triple crown title fight, utilized his knowledge of the track to stranglehold the lead through several quick-spin caution periods in the early goings. Cole Custer won the Food City 300 to score his 15th career NASCAR Xfinity Series victory, his second of the season and his first at Bristol. His margin over second-place Sheldon Creed was .896 of a second.
There were seven caution periods for a total of 57 laps.
Seventeen of the 38 drivers in the race finished on the lead lap.
Custer is the NASCAR Xfinity Series Regular Season Champion by a three-point advantage over Justin Allgaier. (more…)
