NASCAR Xfinity Series News & Notes – Richmond Raceway

After posting a top-10 finish in every race this season thus far, veteran NASCAR driver AJ Allmendinger finally took home the checkered flag at the Pit Boss 250 in Austin, Texas. This win marked his first of the 2022 season, 11th of his NASCAR Xfinity Series career and his series record seventh road course win (previously at Road America-2013, 2019; Mid-Ohio- 2013,2021; Charlotte-2020,2021).

The first five races of the 2022 season have been action-packed, and now the NASCAR Cup Series returns to the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) for the first of six road courses on the schedule (COTA, Sonoma, Road America, Indianapolis RC, Watkins Glen and the Charlotte Roval) for the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix this Sunday, March 27 at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

The 19-year-old, Ty Gibbs, didn’t think he would make the trip to Victory Lane after a mistake on pit road seemed to have cost him the race, but this is NASCAR, and anything can happen.

PASS Tour Results From Hickory Speedway – Byron Beats Out Barker for the Bunny

Hickory, NC – Cup Series star William Byron took a break from a busy weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway to race his #24 Donnie Wilson owned Super Late Model in the second of two Easter Bunny 150s Saturday. Byron a former regular at the track did not attend Friday night’s event or even race at Hickory for the past seven years. Rust was a non-issue as he was able to lead 109 laps on his way to the victory by more than a half a second over Brandon Barker #88. (more…)

NASCAR Xfinity Series News & Notes – Atlanta Motor Speedway

Last week, Las Vegas native Noah Gragson fell short to Ty Gibbs at his home track, Las Vegas Motor Speedway. After winning both Stage 1 and Stage 2, it was a tough loss for 23-year-old Gragson, but he wasn’t knocked down. He came back this past weekend to lead 114 laps and win the United Rentals 200 at Phoenix Raceway by a margin of 2.555 seconds.
