  • The 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship season ends this week with the 8 Hours of Bahrain (30 October-2 November).
  • Alpine Endurance Team will conclude the learning campaign for its A424 Hypercar with reshuffled crews: Paul-Loup Chatin, Jules Gounon and Ferdinand Habsburg in the #35; Charles Milesi, Matthieu Vaxiviere and Mick Schumacher in the #36.
  • The A-arrow brand enters the final round in fourth place in the Hypercar World Endurance Manufacturers’ Championship.

  • Recently appointed Alpine Endurance Team Sporting Director, Nicolas Lapierre will begin to familiarise himself with his new role at the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship season finale, the 8 Hours of Bahrain (2 November).
  • As a result, reserve driver Jules Gounon joins Paul-Loup Chatin and Ferdinand Habsburg in the #35 Alpine A424.
  • Charles Milesi completes the trio in the #36 Alpine A424, alongside Matthieu Vaxiviere and Mick Schumacher.
  • This adaptation is linked to practical criteria to balance the crews regarding driver size.
  • Alpine Endurance Team also announces Formula 2 and Alpine Academy driver Victor Martins for the Rookie Test session on 3 November.
  • As a member of the Alpine family, Victor will get behind the wheel of the A424 and provide the team with a fresh perspective for its maiden Hypercar run.

Ludovic Godard Wins on the Rallye Cœur de France, Pierre Roché Wins His Second Alpine ELF Rally Trophy Title
  • Round five of the calendar proved decisive in the different races for the Alpine ELF Rally Trophy titles.
  • Co-driven by Damien Augustin, Ludovic Godard returned to winning ways with his maiden victory of the season on the Rallye Cœur de France.
  • Runner-up on home soil, Pierre and Martine Roché clinched their second consecutive title while also securing their second Challengers crown in succession.
  • Despite going off the road, Grégory Fontalba and Stéphan Hermet won the Gentlemen title ahead of the season finale at the Rallye du Var (21-24 November).
  • Alpine also won the GT+ with Raphaël Astier and Denis Giraudet’s A110 Rallye GT+ and the French 2WD Rally Championship with Cédric Robert and Matthieu Duval’s A110 Rally.

The Alpine A110 Rallye GT+ secured its first overall victory in the French Rally Championship on Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine.

Nine-time world rally champion Sébastien Loeb and co-driver Laurène Godey gave the A-arrow brand its first overall win since the 2021 Rallye Antibes Côte d’Azur.

Alpine also won in the French Two-Wheel Drive Rally Championship with the A110 Rally of Yann Clairay and Gilles De Turckheim, winners on the return to action of the Alpine ELF Rally Trophy. (more…)

The Alpine A424s Return to Action in Austin

After the summer break, Alpine Endurance Team returns to the Americas for the resumption of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Austin, back on the calendar for the first time since 2020.

Inaugurated in 2012, the Circuit of the Americas has established itself as a favourite destination among competitors, with its gradients, including a steep climb to the first corner and its fast and technical sections spread over 5,513 metres. This layout offers plenty of challenges, and the drivers’ fitness will be severely tested by the high temperatures and counter-clockwise direction, which always punishes the neck muscles. (more…)
