Brad Keselowski led the most important lap at Talladega, the final one. In a wild, pitched battle for the win, Keselowski got a huge push from Michael McDowell and Kevin Harvick to eke out his 6th Talladega win over Matt DiBenedetto. DiBenedetto (P5) once again came up just short for his first ever Cup win after leading 28 laps and “winning” Stage 1.

For the 9th consecutive year, rookie drivers in Stafford Speedway’s SK Light, Limited Late Model, and Street Stock divisions will all be racing for a $500 end of season bonus that will be provided by R.A.D. Auto Machine of Ludlow, MA.  The highest finishing rookie drivers in each division will receive a $500 bonus and all drivers who have made less than 5 division starts in previous seasons are eligible to compete in the R.A.D. In Sunday’s afternoon’s NASCAR Cup race at RIR Alex Bowman’s late race surge brought him into Victory Lane at Richmond International Raceway in VA.  Middletown, CT’s ended his day in third place after being in the hunt all day long.  Corey LaJoie finished his day in 21st and is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy Lajoie a native of Norwalk, CT.  Berlin, CT’s Ryan Preece finished 29th while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT wound up 31st.
