Thompson Speedway Set To Roar Back To Life Wednesday For Tripoint Showdown 75

Barre, VT and Naples, ME ­— For the final time on a Wednesday night in 2022, Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park will roar back to life tomorrow, September 14. The .625-mile oval will play host to another round of action for the Outlaw Open Modified Series in the Tripoint Showdown 75, worth $5,000 to the winner. The event also includes double feature races for the Limited Sportsman (20 laps each), along with the Late Models, Mini Stocks and SK Light Modifieds.

“Looking at the competition right now, you have to like Toyota’s chances. But look out, (Kevin) Harvick was second to (Denny) Hamlin in the spring race. If you doubt Harvick, you don’t know him very well.”

While Toyota didn’t do too badly in the race, the Ford of Kevin Harvick came to play. It seems just a few weeks ago many were wondering if Harvick could even make the playoffs. He was below the cut line and he hadn’t been very sporty.
