Bootie Barker Set to Call Final Race for No. 23 Team at Phoenix

Charles Denike to replace Barker, who will remain with 23XI, following season finale

Huntersville, N.C. (Oct. 30, 2024) – 23XI Racing announced today that veteran crew chief Bootie Barker will call his final race with Bubba Wallace and the No. 23 team at the season finale at Phoenix Raceway. Following the end of the season, Barker will be replaced by Charles Denike, the current crew chief for the No. 19 truck team at McAnally-Hilgemann Racing in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series. Barker will remain with 23XI and continue to work with the competition leadership team to prepare cars and strategize for races. His new role will be based at Airspeed.

Lee, NH — In one of the most dramatic and exciting events so far in the young 2023 racing season, the American-Canadian Tour put on a barn-burning performance at New Hampshire’s Center of Speed, Lee USA Speedway on Sunday. PASS Tour Results From Hickory Speedway – Byron Beats Out Barker for the Bunny

Hickory, NC – Cup Series star William Byron took a break from a busy weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway to race his #24 Donnie Wilson owned Super Late Model in the second of two Easter Bunny 150s Saturday. Byron a former regular at the track did not attend Friday night’s event or even race at Hickory for the past seven years. Rust was a non-issue as he was able to lead 109 laps on his way to the victory by more than a half a second over Brandon Barker #88. (more…)
