Barre, VT – While Mother Nature gave it her all to wash out the Preston’s Kia Independence Day Spectacular, the Thunder Road faithful showed up in droves and moved her rain showers to the side with four divisions of racing action and Central Vermont’s biggest Northstar Fireworks display on the docket.
Barre, VT — On a beautiful Sunday morning, Thunder Road officials announced the creation of the Squier Cup for the Late Model Triple Crown at the Nation’s Site of Excitement starting with the 61st Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic. Barre, VT — After starting off with a heavy mist just after opening the pit gates for teams on Thursday, if you can believe it, as teams waited out the showers. After drying the track, the Thunder Road faithful again put on another stellar showcase of auto racing on the Barre highbanks, each vying for the FloRacing double purse on Vermont Tire & Service Night. Barre, VT — After three seasons of an outlaw schedule of sorts that saw his team make sparse appearances at the Nation’s Site of Excitement, Barre’s Cody Blake has announced a return to weekly racing at Thunder Road International Speedbowl for 2023. In his announcement, Blake made a point to confirm his intentions to run for the King of the Road title and dethrone 2022 champion Christopher Pelkey.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted First Responder Friday on September 10 with the TC 13 Shootout joining Stafford’s five weekly divisions in feature action. The SK Modified® division ran their regularly scheduled 40-lap feature as well as the 3rd Annual TC 13 Shootout, a 13-lap race contested between the top-13 finishers from the 40-lap feature that paid the winner an extra $1,313 from a purse of over $7,000.
