Ty Gibbs, grandson of team owner Joe Gibbs, made history last weekend at the Daytona Road Course. Gibbs, who was making his first career start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, won the race in the No. 54 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing and added his name to the list of drivers that won in their first Xfinity start. Surprise Peformances Shake Up Early NASCAR Cup Standings
It’s just two races but it’s never too early to start counting championship points towards the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.

If any NASCAR watchers are skeptical about how much crashes can hurt, they should speak with Joey Logano.NASCAR has made numerous safety improvements over the years to prevent tragic deaths or severe injuries. Crashes still happen on a regular basis, and there are some ugly collisions, but it’s been over 20 years since the sport’s last fatality.
Still, let’s let Logano explain the physical and mental toll that crashes can have on drivers.
