Wickens Set for WeatherTech Debut in DXDT’s No. 36 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R
Statesville, NV (November 25, 2024) – DXDT Racing is proud to announce that Robert Wickens will join the team for the sprint rounds of the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship, beginning at the Long Beach Grand Prix in April. Wickens, who drives using hand controls following an accident in 2018, will be the only driver on the grid using hand controls in WeatherTech competition.

Most recently, the team founded by former racer Gunnar van der Steur has competed in the Grand Sport (GS) class of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. For 2025, VDSR will move to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship side of the paddock as it steps up to campaign the No. 19 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo in the Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) class. (Aug. 27, 2024) – After having to wait eight weeks between rounds eight and nine of the 2024 Cube 3 Architecture TA2 Series, the Silver Hare Racing team and its driver duo of Jake Drew and Boris Said Jr. welcome the much more agreeable turnaround of just eight days between last Friday’s round nine at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International and this Saturday’s round 10 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario.
